We truly care about the safety of every child in our care. We understand how much parents and God value the dignity, worth, and safety of each child.

All of our leaders, teachers, substitutes, and volunteers in the Ministry to Children and Families have gone through background checks and criminal history reports. Plus, they all take a required Risk Management Class to help them understand the serious consequences of child abuse and how to spot the signs and tactics of predators.

    Hi everyone! My name is Nicole Cervone and I have been working with young ones for as long as I know! I’m 21 years old and growing up I always had a passion to care for children. When I attended Lake Howell High school, I was part of their Little Hawks Preschool. I was able to meet my partner in crime, Ryann and received my CDA and become First Aid and Safety/CPR certified.

     

    I’ve been at New Covenant since my Senior year in high school and I don’t plan on changing that! My absolute favorite part about being here at New Covenant is the atmosphere and relationships I’ve made! Being part of your child’s development is my greatest honor.

    Hi everyone! My name is Kathy Lyons, and I have been working with little ones for over 14 years. I have always felt called to work with children and help them as they advance and experience the world around them. I’ve worked in daycares, Nurseries, Preschool settings and ran my own daycare in my home for about 8 years. I was the Nursery and Preschool director at my church in Virginia for almost 6 years before moving here to the Orlando area and finding New Covenant.

     

    New Covenant offers a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for your little ones on Sundays where they can play and make friends and learn about God. I am so thankful for finding this welcoming church and community and for my opportunity to work in the Nursery with some of its youngest members. Nothing brings me greater joy than sharing my love of Jesus with children and watching them grow along the way!

    • 2 Years of Early Childhood Education at James Madison University

    • CPR Certified

    • 6 years of preschool experience (3-5 year olds)

    • 14 years of infant and toddler experience (newborns to 2 year olds)
