Scriptures for today.
Psalm 40, 54 · Exodus 34.18-35 · 1 Thessalonians 3.1-13 · Psalm 51 · Matthew 5.27-37
Prayer for today.
Almighty God, whose Son Jesus Christ is the resurrection and the life: raise us, who trust in him, from the death of sin to the life of righteousness, that we may seek those things which are above, where he reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
Question for today.
Getting the message of Easter clear in the minds of believers, their children and the world is a key task given to the church.
What parts of the message of Jesus are you most comfortable telling?
Which parts are a bit rusty?
Who would enjoy hearing you tell about Jesus?
This video illustrates several children’s answers to questions about Easter, and specifically about the ministry of Jesus. This message of Jesus filled the apostles’ mouth s they filled the world with the good news of God in Christ. They not only spoke to one another about their experiences with the Risen Jesus, they spoke to others about him as well. You can watch the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zY2NH8Wpoog
Thanks to all the volunteers who throughout the year share the good news of Jesus in word and deed with the children of our parish. We honor you and envy you for the opportunity you have to hear responses like these week by week.
