Ministries
“But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”
- Acts 20:24
Church ministries play an important role in helping the church achieve its mission by nurturing faith, building a sense of community, and lending a hand to others. Each ministry has its own special job to make sure the church works smoothly as a family in Christ, taking care of everyone's spiritual, emotional, and practical needs.
Worship

The Worship Ministry leads the congregation in heartfelt worship through music, prayer, and praise. Worship teams, including vocalists, instrumentalists, and audiovisual technicians, work together to create an atmosphere that allows the congregation to encounter God. This ministry involves more than just singing—it includes planning worship sets that align with the sermon, organizing special worship nights, training future worship leaders, and ensuring the seamless execution of services through sound and lighting. Beyond corporate worship, this ministry also encourages personal worship, helping individuals cultivate a lifestyle of praise and reverence for God.
Discipleship

The Teaching & Discipleship Ministry is here to help you learn and grow with a warm and welcoming approach to biblical knowledge and spiritual wisdom. We’re excited to offer children's ministry, bible study groups, and new believer classes. Our lessons are designed to make understanding scripture fun and practical, helping you apply biblical principles to your everyday life and flourish in your faith journey. Our discipleship programs are all about building connections and encouraging spiritual growth through one-on-one mentorship, lively group discussions, and leadership development. Plus, we sometimes host workshops on spiritual gifts, theology, Christian living, and apologetics to help everyone dive deeper into God’s Word.
Outreach

The Outreach & Evangelism Ministry exists to share the message of Jesus Christ with those outside the church. This ministry organizes evangelistic campaigns and digital evangelism efforts to reach non-believers. It also partners with local organizations to provide community services such as food distribution and rehabilitation programs. Through training programs, church members learn how to share their faith confidently, answer questions about Christianity, and invite others to experience the love of Christ. Additionally, this ministry ensures that new believers are connected to the church community and have the support they need to grow spiritually.
Youth

The Youth Ministry plays a critical role in engaging and mentoring young people, helping them develop a strong spiritual foundation during a crucial stage of life. This ministry provides a safe and encouraging environment where teenagers and young adults can explore their faith, ask difficult questions, and find biblical answers to life’s challenges. Weekly youth group meetings, Bible studies, leadership training, social events, and service projects help cultivate their relationship with God while fostering friendships with like-minded peers. Our youth ministry also addresses contemporary issues such as peer pressure, relationships, mental health, and career choices from a biblical perspective, preparing young people for a life of faith and purpose.
Children

The Children’s Ministry is dedicated to teaching children about Jesus in an engaging, fun, and age-appropriate way. This ministry includes Sunday mornings and Vacation Bible School (VBS). This ministry uses creative teaching methods like storytelling, drama, crafts, music, and interactive games to ensure that children understand foundational biblical truths. In addition to spiritual education, the Children’s Ministry also focuses on safety, ensuring that all teachers and volunteers are trained in child protection policies and that church environments are welcoming and secure for children. Parents are often involved through family events, take-home devotional materials, and parenting workshops to support spiritual growth at home.
Men and Women

The Men’s and Women’s Ministries provide spiritual growth, fellowship, and encouragement for individuals in different stages of life. The Men’s Ministry focuses on equipping men to be godly leaders in their families, workplaces, and communities through mentorship, Bible studies, and accountability groups. These gatherings often address topics such as fatherhood, integrity, financial stewardship, and overcoming personal struggles. Similarly, the Women’s Ministry creates a supportive space for women to grow in their faith and build strong relationships. Women’s retreats, prayer groups, mentorship programs, and events focused on marriage, motherhood, and personal development empower women to live out their faith boldly.
Prayer Ministry

Sunday Prayer Ministry
“Come unto Me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.” This warm invitation from Jesus shows how much He cares for us. He truly desires our company. At New Covenant, we offer prayer during the Eucharist every Sunday. Our friendly teams of trained prayer ministers are ready to welcome you at either side of the Lord’s table and at the back of the sanctuary. If you have any needs, please let us support you with faith, confidence, and compassion.
Healing Prayer
Healing prayer is a natural and wonderful part of the Christian journey. It's not placed above any other ministry, nor should it be overlooked. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit care deeply about our bodies just as much as our souls, and our emotions as much as our spirits. Plus, Jesus healed many and invites us to follow His example.
Prayer Portal
New Covenant also has an online prayer request portal where people can submit their needs for intercession. Feel free to enter your prayer request and pray for other's prayer requests.
Hospitality

The Hospitality Ministry ensures visitors and members feel welcomed, valued, and at home within the church community. This ministry includes greeters, ushers, and follow-up teams who connect with newcomers, answer their questions, and help them integrate into the church family. Hospitality teams organize fellowship events, church luncheons, and newcomer orientation programs to foster relationships and community engagement. This ministry extends beyond Sunday services by maintaining ongoing communication with visitors, sending welcome messages, and ensuring everyone feels a sense of belonging.
Missions

The Missions Ministry is dedicated to spreading the Gospel beyond the local church through short-term and long-term mission work. This ministry partners with missionaries, church planters, and Christian organizations worldwide to support evangelistic efforts in local areas, remote areas, impoverished communities, and unreached people groups. Members participate in mission trips, humanitarian projects, and cross-cultural training to share Christ’s love with different communities. Financial support, prayer, and volunteer work help sustain missionaries and provide resources such as Bibles, food, and medical supplies to those in need. This ministry fulfills the Great Commission by taking the message of Jesus to the nations.
Technology

The Media & Technology Ministry plays a critical role in modern church communication, using digital platforms to share the Gospel and keep the congregation connected. This ministry manages the church’s website, social media, livestreams, podcasts, and sermon recordings, ensuring the church remains relevant in the digital age. It also oversees sound systems and presentation software to enhance the worship experience. By utilizing technology effectively, this ministry extends the church’s reach beyond its physical location, allowing people worldwide to engage with its teachings and community.
Each of these ministries works together to fulfill the church’s worship, discipleship, service, and evangelism mission. Through their unique functions, they create a thriving and well-balanced church community that nurtures believers, welcomes newcomers, and impacts the world with the message of Jesus Christ. Whether through worship, teaching, outreach, or service, every ministry is crucial in making the church a beacon of faith, hope, and love.
